American Chimney Sweep and Masonry Provides In-Depth Chimney Video Scans for Fort Mitchell Homeowners
We offer thorough overviews of your chimney – from bottom to top – ensuring nothing is missed or overlooked. Homeowners in Sanfordtown, Lakeview, Crestview Hills, Lookout Heights, Fort Wright, Lakeside Park, Crescent Park, Anderson, Mason, Colerain, and many areas surrounding have been trusting us for decades, and we’d love to hear from you too.
There’s no denying the importance of scheduling annual chimney inspections. They’re recommended by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and pretty much every reputable chimney company out there.
Here’s the problem, though. Some techs will do everything they can to get in and get out with your money as fast as they can – which means their inspection will be rushed and important issues could be missed.
Here at American Chimney, we’re not about that. We don’t do any job halfway, and when you call us in for an inspection, you can rest assured it will be thorough. We even offer chimney video scans to ensure not even the smallest issue is missed.
What Is a Chimney Video Scan?
During a chimney video scan, a camera is put up into the chimney to allow us a up-close and in-depth look at it all. We’ll move the camera through the smoke chamber, past the flue tiles, and all the way up to the very top of the chimney – rest assured, nothing is missed!
Video scans give us the ability to inspect the chimney from a range of just a few inches – instead of just looking down from the top or up from the bottom. The camera image is then viewed on a small monitor by the inspector, where further assessments can be made. We have even used drones to get a thorough look at the top of a chimney!
What we’re looking for during these overviews is cracks, clogs, missing mortar joints, water damage, and flue tile damage. A video scan will give us the most accurate picture of your system’s interior possible – and they can play a big role in helping with insurance claims too.
Did Your Inspection Reveal Damages?
Now, once we perform a level 1, 2 or 3 inspection, we’ll provide you with our evaluation. And if that evaluation includes findings like buildup or damages, you may be wondering about the next best steps. Well, it’s easy – just continue relying on us.
